A link for PWD
Just something to shout about after the Love to Save Campaign by Digi.
In case you're wondering, PWD means People With Disability (commonly known to us as OKU=Orang Kurang Upaya).
==============================================================================
http://mobiliti.org.my/aboutus.php
Persatuan Mobiliti Selangor dan Kuala Lumpur
(the Mobility Association of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor) is a charitable organization approved by the Malaysian Registrar of Societies (ROS) in January 2002.
Mobiliti is managed by an Executive Committee of thirteen people.
All of whom volunteer their time.
At the moment, 12 members of the Committee are people living with a disability. Mr Anthony Arokia is our current President.
Mobiliti's main objective is to operate a "door to door" transport service for wheelchair users. But we are also becoming increasingly involved in advocating for a barrier-free environment.
===================================================================================
Found one of the vans in front of my dad's clinic or shop.
The patient is an old man who had stroke and needed the aid of a wheelchair.
You may think this is useless but think about the people who struggle to find transport to carry their love ones for treatment, so have a thought even if you do not donate.

Make URLs shorter
This is not something new but certainly does make your life easier than memorising long URLs. Hope you enjoy this little tip.

Free software
Everyday we see ads for computers which are "cheap" that is until we see the price tag for Microsoft Office (originals cost from RM200-RM1000+,depends on what version you are using) which cost about a portion of the price you pay for the computer.
If you have seen the video above (not made by me), the alternatives shown above are free with a few conditions for some of them (1e. a Google account for Google Docs or only usable online).
Besides the ones shown in the video, I would like to point out that there are a a wide range of software products.
Some of the sites:
http://www.gnu.org/software/for-windows.html
http://sourceforge.net/softwaremap/trove_list.php?form_cat=80
(You need to check the OS before downloading some of the software as some are only usable on certain OS eg. Linux,Unix,Windows)
Here are examples not shown in the video:
Microsoft Office
Alternative: OpenOffice, AbiWord (both are free)
Windows Media Player (free for windows but there are better alternatives)
Alternative: VLC media player, MPlayer
Disk Defragmenter (faster alternative)
Alternative: Auslogics Disk Defrag (free version available), Defragger
Disk Cleaner
Alternative: CCleaner
Anti-spyware
Alternative: Spywareblaster(prevent spyware from being installed), Spybot Search & Destroy, Lavasoft Ad-Aware
Anti-Virus:
Alternative: AVG free edition, AntiVir
Firewall
Alternative: ZoneAlarm free edition, Outpost
Most of these software can be found at majorgeeks.com
There are alot of other software there but read the labels as most are not free and some are adware.
