Maxis FTTH Broadband packages were not that attractive before due to the quota which they provide for their services but now they have come up with 30Mbps package with 300GB quota per month which seems reasonable enough for that speed(although I'm not so sure about the price=RM398 per month).
The good news is that all their packages currently are unlimited until 31 December 2011.
Maxis FTTH Now Comes In 30Mbps Flavour
Maxis look like they are going all out to grab the top end of the Fibre
To The Home (FTTH) market, unveiling a 30Mbps service for home users
after their 32Mbps service for businesses was launched earlier. Weighing
in at a hefty RM398, the new plan imposes a 300GB data quota along with
1000 free minutes to Maxis Mobiles and 300 minutes to IDD destinations.
If you're an existing Maxis mobile customer, you'll get a cool 200 free
minutes too!
Discounting the "speed boost" of TIME's 12Mbps line to 50Mbps and the
VIP20 offering from UniFi, the Maxis FTTH is the quickest available for
Malaysia at the moment. So if you desperately need that crazy 3.75
Megabytes per second download speed at cap for a more optimum Facebook
experience, then the new Maxis FTTH is perfect for you. But in all
seriousness, it would be lovely to have a 30Mbps connection at your
fingertips, but shame at the price.
