KUALA LUMPUR: THE new Samsung ST1000 is the world’s first point-and-shoot camera that comes with the three wireless technologies built-in.

The camera has Bluetooth, WiFi and DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) connectivity, which enables it to share photos and videos through many means sans cables.

With Bluetooth, users can beam images to compatible devices such as mobile phones while users can e-mail or upload their pictures online via WiFi.

The DLNA standard on the other hand makes it possible for the ST1000 to stream images to supported devices such as HDTVs and digital photo frames.

But that’s not all — the 12.2-megapixel camera also packs in a dizzying array of features, including integrated GPS and HDMI connectivity.

The 3.5in wide touchscreen LCD incorporates Samsung’s Smart Gesture User Interface with a built-in accelerator for quicker access to camera features via a simple tap or hand gesture.
