[Official] Unifi Prices

Here is the Official Announcemant for the prices.

Telekom Malaysia earlier today announced their pricing packages for their UniFi high speed broadband service, after last night official launch. The residential packages start at RM149/month for a 5Mbps HSBB link. Unlike Streamyx packages however, the UniFi VIP (video internet phone) packages includes telephony and IPTV services. The package will include a DECT Phone, Premise Gateway (which we believe is a modem + wifi access point) as well as a set top box that will allow IPTV streaming direct to your TV set. The 10Mbps and 20Mbps residential packages are priced at RM199/month and RM249/month respectively. There will be no additional charges for telephone rental and subscription charges are waived until 30th June 2010.

There is a usage cap on all packages, starting with 60GB/month for the basic 5Mbps package. The terms and condition also include TM's fair usage policy and a daily download distribution clause. With HD IPTV services included in the package, we're not sure how it will fare with a daily download cap.

The HD IPTV services via the set top box will include all local terrestrial TV channels namely TVI, TV2, TV3, Bernama TV, NTV7, 8TV, TV9 and Hikmah. International channels that will be available are the Austrlia Network, BBC Knowledge, BBC Lifestyle, CBeebies, Channel News Asia, Channel [V] Taiwan, DW-TV Asia+, Euronews, Fashion TV, Fashion TV HD, LUXE.TV HD, Star Chinese Channel, Star Chinese Movies 2 and the Travel Channel. Aside from that Video on Demand channels that will be charged seperately and four local Interactive Channels will be made available on the set top IPTV box.

UniFi HSBB is currently available in Bangsar, Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI), Subang and Shah Alam.
