I'm sure that since the internet become so user friendly that J-pop culture has swept the nation. The most recent example being this year's Daicon where Minori Chihara (who voices Nagato Yuki in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) came to have a concert.
Well, since The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya has become a worldwide phenomena since the anime aired in 2006. It got the best anime of year 2006 and an ending clip which became highly addictive as there is a dance sequence that seems fun. Also, before I forget, the anime is adapted from light novels which are popular in Japan but you can get it here.
Not to stray too far, this anime franchise has now an album of its hit songs composed in orchestra music which sounds awesome.
Here are some songs which are in the original and orchestra version.
Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu - Yuki, Muon, Madobe Nite by Yuki Nagato
Suzumiya Haruhi no Gensou - Yuki, Muon, Madobe Nite
Aya Hirano - Lost My Music (Full Version)
Suzumiya Haruhi no Gensou - Lost My Music
Hope you enjoy it!
